Not really, not today I mean. Just pictures I never posted from about a month ago when snow dumped on London and the kids were out of school.
But before that, I should say that the baby's due date is less than a month away. It's hit that point where I'm not really savoring being pregnant anymore (though I'm trying) and I'm just excited about him coming--though I have to say I haven't packed my hospital bag, I've merely accumulated a pile. (Thanks to Hannah who also informed me that I should pack a bag for my kids too in case we need to scramble them to someone's house--that really hadn't crossed my mind but good thinkin') I've really been feeling good 'til about 8 or 9 in the evening when I can not bear to be on my feet anymore because my back hurts and I start to stiffen up. However, today was totally different. All it took was a little housework in the morning, to prepare for having a meeting here, and I was a bit uncomfortable. My abdomen hurt and I was wondering if the baby was trying to reposition himself for some kind of exit. And then I felt better but a bit uncomfortable here and there throughout the day. I'm not trying to say that the baby's coming, at all, but acknowledging that this is how it could be for another month. I am definitely hoping that he will not make and exit before I am 37 weeks because I am looking forward to that enormous shiny bathtub at the Barkantine Birthing Centre and if he's earlier than that, they won't take me. Umm...I am also looking forward to my free dental cleaning on Friday that post-birth I will not receive free because that's right, when you are pregnant, you get free dental care here. Other things I'd like to get around to are purchasing a fabric covered rocking chair (can't believe they're so hard to find, I mean really!), finishing painting, putting a curtain up in the baby/guest room for real (those of you who have visited know the temporary sort-of crack house curtain job we utilize in some rooms), planting some seeds so I don't have to eat salad forever out of plastic bags, and cleaning and repairing my pushchair since I am so stubbornly preferential to the size of my stroller.
I made a commitment to myself and to a small group of women that I would be in bed by 9 these days so that I don't consume my life with busyness so this is all I have to say. Nitey-nite!
